Every year I make a Christmas ornament with Ryan’s nephews, now 6 and 9. As you get older, Christmas doesn’t feel the same as it did when we were little. This year we made a snowman out of cotton balls for the body, pipe cleaners for the carrot nose, pompoms for the coal, and felt for the scarf. Being able to start new traditions with young children allows me to see the magic and believe in the spirit of Christmas.
