I purchased one of these lanterns to hold cards at our wedding, and I’m pretty excited about it. I’ve been looking for options other than the faux cake options available online and while I love the birdcage and suitcase ideas, I think that they’re more for a vintage styled wedding. I never decided on a theme per say, but Ryan and I are simple, understated and modern. I thought this lantern was a great option for our venue. I also bought a mini one to put a candle in so the big daddy doesn’t look so out of place. (And we’ll be able to use this again in a future house, unlike those faux cakes!)
I also noticed these lanterns being used here and love the look!
