atlantic city

A few weeks ago the man and I went on a little getaway to Atlantic City, NJ. Other than eating way too much and gambling with the boys, one of my favorite things to do is to spend a little of my winnings. Blackjack is my game of choice, by the way!

The Pier Shops are a beautiful spot to just window shop because the interior looks like no other mall I’ve seen. The first floor (which enters directly off of the boardwalk) has interlocking flooring that makes you feel like it’s an extension of the world outside. You almost wish you could try to win a stuffed animal rather than take a walk past gucci!

The second floor (below) is Ryan’s favorite because of the shiny epoxy flooring and the reflection of the star-like ceiling. The feeling you get when you walk through this corridor is so calming, and totally intensifies the experience.

Fun fact: The game Monopoly is based on the NJ town of Atlantic City!
