simple modern flatware

When Ryan and I first moved in together we bought a beautiful, simple flatware set from Linens N’ Things. It’s perfect for dinner parties or for just eating chinese food, but we have slowly been losing pieces from the set. How does that even happen?! We only have four forks left, and they’ve discontinued the pattern so we can’t even order replacements. (We’ve emailed the manufacturer, looked on Craigslist and eBay with no luck. So disappointing!)

We love entertaining and need more than four forks, so I’ve been on the hunt for a simple and modern flatware set. I want something that isn’t ornate so that it can coordinate with any table top design for events. We love the simplicity of this CB2 set and the price sold us since we need enough for 16 people! There are so many great options available at all price points. Which one is your favorite?

I find the same thing, where do these pieces of cutlery disappear to? I’ve come to the conclusion they must sprout legs and walk off ha ha! My favourite has to be the West Elm Gold…although probably best kept for special occassions.

I agree! I LOVE the gold flatware, too. My mother has china from my grandmother with a simple gold line that I’m trying to convince her that I need to go with them. :)

Oneida Aero flatware is awesome flatware set. It is also elegant and much more comfortable than Azalea and flight. definitely, a must have flatware for this year end. Simple and sleek touch. i love it man.

I have had a beautiful pattern of gold flatware for years and it looks stunning. My china is simple (cream with gold banding) and the flatware is just amazing played off against the other subdued but rich linens. I know it sounds like it’s not going to work – but it does!!
