I’ve always loved this inspiration image, and especially lusted for the interesting light fixture in the foreground. I finally scored one and I’m never letting it go! I put a 15 watt appliance bulb in it just to give the softest glow while adding a little candlelight glow to the room.
I’m being lazy. I need to get my life organized before I feel motivated to write. I have a major to-do list for this weekend, so hopefully by Sunday night I will feel accomplished and relaxed. Tomorrow my sister is having her yearly BBQ, so I’m excited to see my family and play outside with my nephew. Being silly with him is on my to-do list, so that counts as being productive!
Being that I live in a small condo, I am very interested in how other people use their space. I love how this living room and bedroom are separated by an industrial looking glass wall and lush draperies. The textures of the sisal rug, furniture layout and color scheme make this a space that I would love to live in!

This post is not so glamorous but today is laundry day and I’m curious how other people air their clean laundry. Weird thing to be curious about, I know! How two people produce 6 loads of laundry in a week is beyond me! I don’t really put anything in the dryer besides towels and socks, so when I found this drying rack from ikea I was loving it. They store up so flat that we have two of them under our sofa!
I’m really into this charcoal kitchen shot by interiors photographer, Jeffrey Totaro. I’m loving the mixture of stainless and wood with the lacquered cabinets. It has the perfect combination of closed storage and open shelving making an interesting space for those who enjoy cooking.
