During my break from writing, I ended up in prison… a beautifully renovated prison in Boston otherwise known as The Liberty Hotel. :) In 1973, the prison was closed down after prisoner’s revolted that the poor living conditions were considered unfit. After developers transformed the site, the jail’s granite exterior and expansive, light filled interiors are almost the same as the original prison’s core. The atrium was beautifully preserved while highlighted by industrial and masculine light fixtures. Love!
