paper crown

Lauren Conrad’s new line Paper Crown is much like the former reality star: sweet and simple. The Fall collection showcases classic pieces with simple lines, minimal pattern and sexy little numbers that I would love to own. According to In Style, we’ll be able to purchase pieces from well known department stores like Nordstrom in October. I never realized how badly I need a black long sleeve mini dress until now!

the perfect tunic

Doesn’t this look like the perfect tee shirt to pair with leggings? Being tall, I find that my most comfy shirts are the longer shirts that cover my tush or that have longer sleeves. (Seriously, I’ve purchased long sleeve shirts that fit as 3/4 length.) And I love that this one has ruching to add curves in the right places, and hide those post holiday curves. This could easily be my easy weekend look for Spring!

After the website launch of BHLDN (pronounced “beholden”) earlier today, I can’t stop looking at the beautifully inspiring pieces they have. Many of you have probably already seen sneak peeks around the blogosphere, and I just couldn’t wait to see the interesting gowns. I’m loving these green slingbacks and sparkly party shoes!

Don’t worry, Ry… I’m not going to buy any more wedding shoes to try on.

feminine springtime dress

I’ve been surprisingly busy this week. I’ve been working on a residential project in Central Jersey, so a lot of my time has been spent picking out the right greige paint, or the perfect buttery leather to go on a vintage club chair. I am really loving collaborating with the designer I’m working with, and it’s given me a whole new appreciation for my peers in the industry.

I’m happy to have something to keep me occupied so I don’t go totally wedding crazy. There’s about 2 and a half months left and I can’t stop thinking about everything that needs to be done. For someone who didn’t get the wedding gene, I am very much enjoying it. (shh.. don’t tell anyone!) Today I bought this flirty, feminine dress (on eBay!) for my bridal shower and/or rehearsal dinner. I love the feminine neckline that dresses up a more casual knit material. I have a lot of Banana Republic dresses because they just fit me so well. I can’t wait to pair it with my nude patent pumps!

I don’t get it. I have such a hard time making decisions for myself, especially when it comes to the wedding. I’ve already purchased 4 pairs of shoes and none of them have worked. The first pair had heels that were too high, the second were too clunky, and the third and fourth just didn’t match and the heels were too high. After trying on my dress on Friday, I wasn’t able to get fitted because I needed my exact pair of shoes that I’ll be wearing on my wedding day. I’m happy I got to see my dress, but now I’m on the hunt to find the perfect pair of shoes… again.

I really love these Jimmy Choos, but they are completed out of my price range. The heel height and color are perfect, but I can’t see spending almost $500 on shoes. (Especially after Ryan’s car was just totaled.) I seriously love them. Every time I look at them I get butterflies.

I ordered these online in two sizes, so I’m excited to see what they look like in person. They got great reviews, and the heel looks like the right height. And I’m thinking that the extra sparkle might be fun peeking out from my dress.

I also ordered these as an alternate. I’m not as in love with them, but I want to see what they look like in person. The heel is even lower which might be best for the length of my dress.

What do you think about these options? I know what you’re thinking. This chick is crazy. :)
