ikea side table copy

ikea hack (i think… if not, please let me know!)

How beautiful is THIS side table? Can you believe that price tag?! Just goes to show that a can of paint, and new hardware can make a world of difference! I’ve always loved that Crate and Barrel headboard too!

country day trip

So yesterdays hunt for fall foliage was a bust because we were a week too late. We still had a great time driving to the country to grab a burger and beer from our favorite brewery, and going antiquing at Peddler’s Villiage.

Check out these furniture pieces we found! This place has amazing vintage furniture, jewelry, and styling accessories that you can find at NYC’s flea markets but for half the price. Every time we go to this place there are new things that make us nostalgic for times past…

Expandable utility table – originally $54!!! We bought this table for $45 and have yet to find a place to put it. We’ll end up storing it until we buy a house, but we couldn’t pass up a well made solid wood table at that price!

ikea 1965 catalog

I didn’t realize that ikea has been around since 1965. In my mind, its a new company with a young, fresh image. But I guess that makes it such a successful business plan. These images are from ikea’s first catalog. Funny how it has a similar look all these years later.
