I’ve never been to Rhode Island, other than traveling through on a train, but The Dean Hotel is making me want to plan a trip soon! Each room has a mixture of vintage furniture adding incredible warmth to the spaces. I am also loving the brass in the bathroom, the wainscoting in the bedrooms, and the black doors! This hotel is proof that modern and neutral spaces can be cozy and inviting.
There’s something about this bathroom that gives me butterflies! It could be the classic white marble, the mixture of old and new, or the warm wood in a typically cold space. These photos are definitely going in my “dream bathroom” inspiration folder!
Last week I was casually browsing eBay for some vintage accessories and art and came across this wall sculpture from an estate sale. The design is similar to the amazing Silas Seandel, but I’m not sure if this is his actual design. Many of his wall sculptures go for $4-5k at vintage boutiques, and I scored this for only $102.05! I don’t have an actual place to hang it now, so it’ll go in storage with my other flea market bargains until we get a bigger place. I just couldn’t pass that price up!
I was blown away when I saw the big dresser reveal over at young house love. I’m all about refinishing vintage furniture and repurposing it. For only $31.51, this is such a chic way to add style to their baby’s nursery!
So yesterdays hunt for fall foliage was a bust because we were a week too late. We still had a great time driving to the country to grab a burger and beer from our favorite brewery, and going antiquing at Peddler’s Villiage.
Check out these furniture pieces we found! This place has amazing vintage furniture, jewelry, and styling accessories that you can find at NYC’s flea markets but for half the price. Every time we go to this place there are new things that make us nostalgic for times past…
Solid wood secretary desk – $795
Vintage card catalog – $1295
Expandable utility table – originally $54!!! We bought this table for $45 and have yet to find a place to put it. We’ll end up storing it until we buy a house, but we couldn’t pass up a well made solid wood table at that price!
